Data – Soil CO2

Soil CO2 data is used to determine how a diverse vs conventional crop rotation and winter warming affects soil ecosystem processes such as soil microbial diversity and activity, the decomposition of organic matter, soil carbon storage, and the exchange of CO2 between the soil and the atmosphere. The concentration of soil CO2 is measured in parts-per-million by UMS CO2 Gas Lances inserted at soil depths of 5, 10, 30, 60, and 90 cm.
