Back in February, our Research Associate Susantha Jayasundara presented his research about the carbon sequestration abilities of various agricultural land uses at the Northern Ontario Ag Conference.
Susantha’s research takes place in Kapuskasing, ON, where he looks at soils in forests, arable cropland, and pasture. So far, pasture has shown higher carbon concentrations than the others, but there are many variables to consider and his research is still ongoing.
